A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYORTO SIGN A GRANTEE ACCEPTANCE
NOTICE TO FORMALLY NOTIFY THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF THE
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS THAT THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN WILL ACCEPT THE GRANT OFFER TO FUND A JUVENILE LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER FOR THE GEORGETOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, -Texas
authorized the Mayor and staff to apply for Criminal Justice
Division funds to provide a Juvenile Law Enforcement Officer for
the Police Department, and
WHEREAS the Mayor of the City ofGeorgetown has receiveda
Statement of Grant Award from the Criminal Justice Division of
the Governor's Office, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has provided for resources in the
1990 - 1991 Budget of the City of Georgetown to meet and exceed
the cash contribution required to attain the grant funds,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS that:
SECTION I.
The City Council hereby finds and determines that the recitals
set forth above are true and correct, and are incorporated herein
verbatim, as if fully, set forth at length.
SECTION II,
The rMayor is hereby authorized to sign the Grantee Acceptance
Notice to accept the grant award offer.
SECTION III.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
