A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF UNITED STATES
SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY, INC:, dba MUNICIPAL SOFTWARE AND
PUBLIC SAFETY TECHNOLOGY TO PROVIDE APPLICATION
SOFTWARE UPGRADES AND ERROR RECOVERY SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE CONTRACT THEREFORE
AND TEE CITY SECRETARY TO ATTEST,
WHEREAS; the City of Georgetown has previously purchased a
software license, for certain computer application software
("software") from United Systems Technology, Inc., dba Municipal
Software and Public Safety Technology (`USTI") and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown anticipates continuing its
use of software for at least three additional years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has purchased and
anticipates purchasingfrom USTI application software upgrades
and error recovery services for Software at annual rates; and
WHEREAS, USTI has offered to discount by twenty percent the
annual cost of such upgrades and services for a three year:
advance payment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has budgeted for 1990-91
such discounted three year cost,
ROW; THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the CityCouncil of the
City of Georgetown, Texas':
SECTION I.
That the recitals set forth above are true and correct and
incorporated herein verbatim;
SECTION II.
That theCity Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the
attached Contract with USTI for the period from October 11 1990,
through September 30, 1993 at the rates set forth therein and the
City .Secretary to attest,
