A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH CH2M HIL FOR
REVIEW OF THE LAND ACQUISITION PROCESS; SITE SELECTION
PROCEDURES, AND COST EFFECTIVENESS OF THE DOVE SPRINGS
WASTEWATER TREATMENTPLANT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Georgetown finds that safe and efficient
collection of wastewater is essential to the operation of the City's Public Utilities Department;
and
WHEREAS on March 13,1990 the City Council approved submission of an engineering
plan to the Texas Water Development Board siting of the Dove Springs Wastewater
Treatment Plant, and said plan was required for participation in the State Revolving Loan Fund;
and
WHEREAS the Texas Water Development Board desires an independent review of the
City's land acquisition process for the Dove Springs site, the City's consideration of other waste
treatment sitesand possible cost effective alternatives, and the City's short and long term plans
for providing service to its northside planning area.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCH, OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS;
Section 1. That theCity finds the recitals set forth above art true and correct and are
incorporated herein..
Section It. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager or his designated
representative to negotiate a contract with (12M Hill for an independent review of the City's

land acquisition process for the Dove Springs site, the City's consideration of other waste
treatment sites and possible cost effective alternatives, and the City's short and longterm plans
for providing service to its norlhside planning area,
Section HI. That the total cost of the contract isnot to exceed $10,000 (ten thousand
dollars),
