RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ENDORSING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE INNERLOOP ROAD BY WILLIAMSON COUNTY;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas desires to ensure a
safe, convenient and adequate transportation system for the
community; and
WHEREAS, the InnerLoop Road would improve the safety and
convenience for the traveling public in the community; and
WHEREAS, the InnerLoop Road is designated as an integral part
of the City's Long Range Transportation Plan as adopted by the
Georgetown City Council through the passage of Ordinance 900149 on
March 13, 1990, adopting the Georgetown Century Plan -Development
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown plans to cooperate with
Williamson County in furthering the long term transportation
objectives for the City; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the InnerLoop Road will be in
compliance with the City's adopted policies; specifically Growth
and Physical Development Policy I and Transportation Policy 1,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS THAT
Section one,
All of the facts recited in the preamble to this Resolution
are hereby found by the City Council to be true and correct, and
are incorporated by :reference herein and expressly made a part
hereof, as if copied verbatim.
Section Two.
The City of Georgetown, Texas encourages and fully supports the
construction of the InnerLoop Road by Williamson County.
