A RESOLUTION 10 APPROVE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
07 GEORCETONXTEXAS AND WAY SURVEYING INC,, AUTHORIZING
SURVEY; SERVICES TO MONITOR EXCAVATION ACTIVITIES RELATED
TO THE LANDFILL CLOSURE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTETHE-SAME.
tdHEREAS; the City of Georgetown, Texas, is currently closing
a solid waste landfill under a permit in compliance with regulations
promulgated by the Texas. Department of Health; and
WCIEREAS, the City Council finds that utilization of survey
services is essential in monitoring excavation activities of said
area, and
WHEREAS; the City Council and Way Surveying Inc., desire to
enter into a contract agreement for surveying services related to
the landfill closure and excavation of said area, and authorizing
the Mayor to Execute the same; and
oEEREAS, the City Council finds that this action implements
Utility/Energy Policy No, 2 o the Century Plan Policy Plan and is
not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Decant y
Plan policies as required by Section 2,03 of the Administrative
chapter of the Policy Plan,
NH6 THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CEORGETOBT, TEXAS,
SECTION I, The the City Council finds that the recitals
set forthabove are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
SECTION I1. That the City Council approves the terms of
the contract agreement and awards the contract services to Day
Surveying Inc„ for a contract amount not to exceed 59,000,00, and
that the funding source shall be Account 272.005084, and all
backup information is attached hereto and incorporated herein as if
fully set forth at length,
SECTION 111, That the Mayor is hereby authorized: to execute
the contract documents and City Secretary to attest.
