A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A -CONTRACT AGREPPIENT BETWEEN TEE
CSTY OF GEORGETONN AND JONAH WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION,.
FOR THE PURCHASE OF THEJONAHWATER SUPPLY SYSTEM, WITHIN
THE CITY'S CORPORATE LIMITS, AM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE SANE;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major distributor
of, water, within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient
distribution of water is essential to the operation of the City's
Public Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Jonah Rater Supply
Corporation desire to enter into a contract agreement for purchase
of the Jonah Water Supply System; within the City's corporate
limits, and authorizing the Mayor cc execute the same; and
liTEREAS, the City Council finds that this action implements
Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century ?Ian - Policy Plan Element
and is not found to be inconsistent or
in conflict With any other
Century Plan Policies, as required by section 2.03 of the
Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE:CITY -OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS;
Section i. That the City finds the recitals sat forth
above are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
Section II That the City Councilapproves the terms of
the purchase agreement as further described in the attached` contract
and all backup information for said contract purchase is attached
hereto -and incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length,
Section III. That the Mayor is hereby authorised to
execute the contract documents and City Secretary to attest;
