A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO TAE WILLIAMSON C008T7
HEALTH DISTRICT COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT TO REMOVE THE 1Eg11I2,E9ENT
ECR RESIDENCE WITHIN THE DISTRICT FOR A SPECIFIED NUMBER OF YEARS
AND TO REMOVE THE DETERMINATION FOR REAPPOINTMENTS,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is a participating; entity in the
Williamson County Health District; and
kHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement, which was signed by all
participating entities, includes an article that requires the
representatives to be residents within the Williamson County Health
District for a period of three (3) years; and
WHEREAS, The City of Georgetown's representative has not been a
resident of the District for three years, but completely Satisfies the
City's requirements for the position because of her background and
qualifications; and
WEERBAS, the City Of Georgetown has been given the option of honoring
the orrgenal agreement as signed and appointing a new representative to the
Board or requesting that the Hoard modify the cooperative agreement to
allow each city to pick its representative without regard to length Of
residence,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGET51; TMS¢TEAT
Section 1. The City Council finds the recitals set forth above to be true
and correct;
Section 2. The City Council approves the proposed amendment tothe
Cooperative Agreement as stated on the attached Exhibit "A" and said
amendment is incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length,
section 34 The Mayor is hereby authorized toign,-and the City Secretary
to attest the attached Exhibit 'A1 showing the City's approval 8f the
Proposed Amendment to the Williamson County Health District Cooperative
Agreement,
PASSED; APPROVED AND ;ADOPTED THIS 27th DAY OF MARCH, 1990
