WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown authorized and approved in
1980, the creation of an Industrial Developnent Corporation; and
WHEREAS, said corporation was developed and is currently
functioningand is known as Georgetown Industrial Development
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the 71st State Legislature expanded the posers
permitted for such corporations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
Section L The City Council adopts the recitals set forth
above as true and correct and as adopted herein verbatim as if
fully set forth at length,
Section 2. The governing body of the City hereby approves
the expansion of powers of the Georgetown Industrial Development
Corporation, a non-profit corporation, whose purpose is to carry
out economic development to benefit the citizens of Georgetown,
Texas, pursuant to the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Annotated,
Article 5190:6, Sub -section 4a.
