HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 900142RESOLUTION NO. 90011 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH GARY R, TRAYLOR & ASSOCIATES FOR PROFESSIONAL GRANT MANAGEMENT SERVICES WITH RESPECT TO THE 1989 TEXAS CAPITAL FUND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has determined that econo?nic development is a priority goal for the City of Georgetown, and towards fulfillment for that goal, is coordinating economic development efforts with other local government entities, the private sector, and State of Texas agencies such as the Department of Commerce; and WHEREAS, the manufacturer, Advanced Custom Molders, Inc., will be forced to cease operations unless wastewater service is provided to them; and WHEREAS, the grant to the Texas. Department of: Commerce for consideration_ of funding water and wastewater service to the Industrial Zone where Advanced Custom Molders is located has been approved in the amount of $457;480.00; and WHEREAS, the firm of Gary Traylor & Associates desires to provide grant management services to the City for the grant from the Texas Capital Fund of the Texas Community Development Program; and WHEREAS, the City desires to retain;a grant management service to administer this grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GECRGETO(7 , TEXAS; THAT: Section 1. That the City Council adopts the recitals set forth above as true and correct and adopted herein verbatim as if fully set forth at length. Section 2, That the City Council of the City of Georgetown authorizes the City Yanager`to enter into negotiation with Gary R. Traylor and Associates with the intent of establishing an agreement for the administration of the Texas Community Development Program Grant. Section 3.
