A. RESOLUTION APPROVING THE UTILIZATION OF THE FIRM OF
LLOYD, GOSSEL:NKK RYAN & FOWLER, P, C,, IN REPREMNTING
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN'S PARTICIPATION IN THE
PROCEEDINGS FOR CERTIFICATION OF CONVENLENCE AND
NECESSITY,
WHEREAS, the City ofGeorgetown wishes to retain the services
of the law firm of Lloyd, Gosselink, Ryan &.Fowler, P. C., to
represent the City in its participation in the proceedings for
ce t f.cation of convenience and necessity for the area of
Industrial Park North area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these -services are
necessary and that the law fin of Lloyd, Gosselink, Ryan & Fowler,
P: C„ has special expertise and experience in this area and tae
Council finds it in its best interest to contract far their
services; and
WHEREAS; the City Council has found that th's action,
implements Util:t,es/Energy; Policy 5, of the Century Plan - P0_icy
Plan Element, .and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan PolIcres, as recurred by Section 7.03
cf Admn,strakive Chapter of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I.
The City Council finds that the recitals set forth above are true
and correct and are adopted herein verbatim as if fully set forth
az length.
SECTION LI.
The City Council approves retaininq the firm of Lloyd, Gosselink;
Ryan & Fowler, P.C.; for representation of the City in its
participation in the proceedings for certification of convenience
and necessity; The Council approves expenditures for these
services in the amount of $10,000,00, which is to be payable from
the Water Utility Fund for legal and consultant services.
SECTION IIS,
The :Payor is hereby authorized to execute this resolution and the
City Secretary to attest,
