A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN.ACREEMENT BETUEENTHE :CITY OF
GEORGETOINi TEXAS AND Y20TOROLA INC„ ARBORIZING :PURCE SE
OF AN 800 MEGAHERTZ RADIO COFMUNICATIONS SYSTEP4,-AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAKE:
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetotsn, Texas is the mayor supplier
of utilities within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the Cit} Council finds that safe and efficient.
radio communications is essential'to the operation and distribution
of these utilities from thePublic Utilities Department; and
WEitEAS, the City Council has found that this action
implevents Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century Plan, Policy
Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03
of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan,
NON THEREFORE, BEd: RESOLVED BY THE CITS COI NEIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOVFN, TEXAS;
SECTION I. That; the; City Council finds that the recitals
set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein.
SECIION II, That the sCity Council approves :the agreement
between the City of Georgetown,. Texas and Motorola Inc for.
purchase of 800 megahertz Radio Communications System Equipment;
and all backup information is attached hereto and incorporated
herein as if fully set forth_ at length.
SECTION III, That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute the contract documents and City Secretary to attest;
