WHEREAS ' the City of Georgetown entered into a contract with the Texas Departme
of Commerce to extend water and wastewater lines to ACM. and,
I
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Economic
Development Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states: "the City will
encourage diversified growth and promote business opportunities to create jobs, broaden the tax
base and minimize the impact of economic fluctuations"; and this action implements
Utilities/Energy Policy 5 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states- "the City will
provide water, wastewater, electricity, and solid waste collection services which meet the
immediate the future needs of all citizens and which encourages and provides for economic
development; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter
of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TUE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and
declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a
part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto a
contract amendment request to be submitted to the Texas Department of Commerce for a contract

time extension for 6 additional months until July 29, 1992 on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
