WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas desires to participate
in a cooperative -purchasing program of the Houston/Galveston Area Council;
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that participation in this program will
be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of this City, through the anticipated savings to be
realized-,

The City Council does request that the Houston/Galveston Area Council provide
under the terms of an interlocal agreement, an expansion of the City of Georgetown
Police/Fire Communications console systems, whereby the City may be allowed to purchase
such through the cooperative purchasing contract.

The City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign and execute the interlocal agreement,
ifter approval from the City Attorney, for and on behalf of the City of Georgetown and the
City Secretary to attest.
The City Council authorizes the staff to order and purchase the necessary equipment
to expand the Police/Fire communications console system.
