AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO
VACATE AND ABANDON A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED AT LOT 5, BLOCK A, QUAIL MEADOWo
SECTION V, AS RECORDED IN THE PLAT RECORDS OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTYO TEXASt
WHEREAS, the city of Georgetown has received an Application for the
Vacation of Public Utility Easement located at Lot 5, Block A,
Quail Meadow, Section V, as recorded In Cabinet Dt Slide 380-382 in
the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas;
WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional
information pertaining to the Aoplication, the City Council now
finds that there are no utilities existing in the easements and
that the utility companies serving the area including and
surrounding the easements have determined that there exists no
present or foreseeable need for the easements; and
WHEREAS, the city Council finds that this action implements the
following policies of the Century Plan - policy Plan:
1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states "The
City will ensure that future land use patterns provide economic,
cultural, and social activities to all residents, businesses and
organizations."
2. Utilities/ Energy Policy 2, which states "The City will
establish utility policies which take into consideration the needs
of all citizens of the community and take necessary precautions to
prevent harmful ecological impact on the environment-" and
NOWO THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, that:

resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct,
and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part
hereofj as if copied verbatim.

The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of
Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed to Fritz and Sylvia Schooley,
abandoning the public utility easement located at Lot 5, Block A,
Quail Meadow, Section V (705 Kimberly)
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
