A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETO
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPROVE THE FINAL FUNDIN
FOR SERVICES RELATED TO THE OLD TOWN WASTEWATE
IMPROVEMENTS PROjECT AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the city of Georgetown, Texas is the major collector of
wastewater within its corporate limits, and Conex Construction Company Inc. has
been awarded the contract and has satisfactorily completed project work per the
contract agreement to upgrade wastewater lines within the Old own
Tarea, and
WHEREAS, the City council finds that safe and efficient collection of
wastewater is essential
® the operation of the City's Public Utilities Division; and
WHEREAS, the City - Council has found that this action implements
Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states:
"The City will establish and maintain a Functional Plan for utilities that will
create and maintain a posture that encourages and provides economic development
in the city of Georgetown"-, and
WHEREAS, the city Council has found that this action is not inconsistent
or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03
of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
The facts . and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by
reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to
attest thereto , approval of the final pay request for the contract services to
upgrade wastewater service to the Old Town area, on behalf of the City of
Georgetown.

That the funding source for this additional funding shall be from Account
No. 06-04-00-5343, in the amount of $7,400.00. This resolution shall be effective
immediately upon adoption.
