RESOLUTION .RING CERTAIN FINDINGS OF
R AUTHORIZING THE 14AYOR OF
EASEMENTSGEORGETOWN TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO
VACATE AND ABANDON PORTIONS OF TWO PUBLIC
UTILITY LOCATED ON •T 5, BLOCK S;
OAK CREST ESTATES, RIVERSIDEUNIT,! ! R-
IN THE PLAT RECORDSOF fCOUNTY,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown
for the Vacation of ten -foot -wide Public Utility Easements along
the north and east boundaries of Lot 5, Block 8 of Oak Crest
Estates, Riverside Unit, as recorded In Cabinet B, Slide 154-157,
of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located . w
Northcross Drive;
WHEREAS, upon considering the Application and additional
information pertaining to the Application, the City Council now
f inds that there are no utilities existing in the easements i
that -utility companies servingthearea including and
surrounding the easements have determined that there exists no
present or foreseeable need for the easements; and
WHEREAS, - City Councilis that this action implements
the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan:
1. Growth and Physical Development Policy 1, which states
"The City will ensure that future land use patterns provide
economic,w and social activities to all residents,

2. Utilities/ Energy Policy
establish Utility policies which take into consideration the
needs of all citizens of the communityand take necessary
precautions to prevent harmful ecological impact on the
environment;" and
WHEREAS, .. City : •

inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies,
as required i Section 2.03of - Administrative Chapter of the

SECTION 2
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the
City of Georgetown, a Quit Claim Deed to Mark and Jane Shepherd
abandoning the ten -foot -wide public utility easement along the
north and east boundaries of Lot 5, Block 8 of Oak Crest Estates,
Riverside Unit, as recorded In Cabinet B, Slide 154-157, of the
Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas, and located at 112
Northcross Drive.
This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
