RESOLUTION N
WAIXtEAS, the City of Georgetown desires to improve safety at the
Georgetown Municipal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has previously accepted a Grant from the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA), a part of which is to fund the removal of
various obstructions to Runways 18, 29, and 36-, and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited in public newspapers, and were
opened in public at 2:00 p.m. C.D.T. on June 11, 1991,; and,
WHEREAS, the engineering firm contracted by the City to design the
project (Steger & Bizzell Engineering, Inc.) has reviewed the bids and has
recommended that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Parker & Rogers
Construction Company, in the amount of $44,667.50; and,
WHEREAS, the FAA has reviewed and approved the Contract, and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
13EORGETOWN,TEXAS,THAT:

by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbat I
The Council hereby approves the Obstruction Removal Contract between
the City of Georgetown and Parker & Rogers Construction Co., in the amount
of $44,667.50.

The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to
attest. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
