A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN,TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
APPROVE THE FINAL FUNDING, FOR SERVICES RELATED
TO THE NORTH 81/1NDUSTRIAL PARK WATERLINE
IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZATION FOR PAYMENT OF
SAID AMOUNT.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major supplier of water
within its corporate limits, and D.I.J. Construction Inc. has been awarded the
contract and has satisfactorily completed project work per the contract agreement
to provide water and fire protection in the Industrial Park North area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient distribution of
water is essential to the operation of the City's Public Utilities Division; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements [Economic
Development Policy 11 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not
Lound to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as
required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01
GEORGETOWN$ TEXAS, H.

The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by
reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary trol
attest thereto, approval of the final funding for contract services to -orovii
water/fire flow protection to the Industrial Park North area, in the amount
$19,552.47, on behalf of the City of Georgetown. 11
That the funding source for this additional funding shall be from Account
No. 06-03-00-5047 in the amount of $19,552.47. This resolution shall be effective
immediately upon adoption.
