WHEREAS, the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) has developed a
program to donate property to local governmental bodies; and,
WHEREAS, a property located within the corporate city limits of the city
of Georgetown, Texas, at 1604 Walnut is on the list of eligible properties to
be donated; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to participate in applying for
properties to be donated by RTC within the corporate city limits of the city
of Georgetown, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, this property at 1604 Walnut can be used in conjunction with
the City of Georgetown's Housing Rehabilitation Program-,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Hous *

Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to,]
inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as require
by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN,TEXAS,THAT:
The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated
by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
The City Council agrees to apply for acceptance of an RTC property
located at 1604 Walnut in Georgetowno Texas, as described in "Exhibit A"
attached.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign, and the City Secretary to
attest.
