A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS OBSERVING TEXAS BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY WEEK AND
HONORING THE BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES OF THE GEORGETOWN
WHEREAS, the 40th Annual Observance of Texas Business and Industry Week
scheduled during the week of April 1 through April 7, 1991, and
WHEREAS, Texas Business and Industry Week is sponsored by the Texas Association
llmu_siness the Geor etown Industrial Foundation and the Georg.,etown Chamber of Commerce; anJ
WHEREAS, this week provides an opportunity for the residents of Georgetown to salu
their area business and industries for their contributions to the local and state economy; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Economic
Development Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be
inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section
2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan-, I
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CrrY
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution aJ9
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. The week of April I through April 7, 1991, is set aside to honor business a
industry in the Georgetown area.
SECTION 3. The citizens of Georgetown are encouraged to become familiar with
business and industry that is within the Georgetown area.
