WIBRUM, the City of Georgetown's Code of Ordinances provides permitting
requirements and restrictions for Carnivals, Circuses, and Other Exhibits; and,
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Livestock Booster Club is a non-profit organization which
supports youth activities in Georgetown; and,
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Livestock Booster Club has promoted as a fund-raiser a
Carnival in 1989 and 1990, and desires to promote as a fund-raiser the 1991 Carnival;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has for the two
previous years suspended these Sections of the Ordinance, so that the Carnival can
operate within San Gabriel Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, desires to again
suspend these Sections of the Ordinance in order to allow the Carnival to operate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION II
That the Section 6.04.070 and 6.04.130 of Chapter 6.04 are hereby suspended for the
period of June 1, 1991, through June 30, 1991, for the purposes of the Georgetown
Livestock Booster Club conducting a fund-raising Carnival in San Gabriel Park.
SECTION III
That the Mayor is authorized to sign and the City Secretary to attest.
