HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 910115 - App for Criminal Justice GrantRESOLUTION NO. �1011< A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE UNITED S GOVERNMENT AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF T GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, THROUGH T CAPITAL AREA PLANNING COUNCIL AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE I DATE. WHEREAS, the United States Government, the Criminal Justice Division of the MMIMWKW�R,F VYTHEREAS, the Division of Police Services was the recipient of additional funds to supplement existing funds for the purposes of combatting juvenile crime and delinquency under a Juvenile Law Enforcement Officer grant; and WHEREAS, the first grant year period will end and a resolution is required for the grant to continue for the second grant year; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements the Education Policy, Facilities and Services Policy and Governmental Affairs Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY *F GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT- 63KNIM,�NK! culu ulr-A'41"w LU 40 ErL10411U CUITIFA, AlURWOEMPT uy ruicrenue noTem 7TV RpMssrj, inaue a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. pqfdp� The Police Department is hereby authorized to prepare a grant application for continuation of funds for the Juvenile Law Enforcement Officer. JLEO Grant Resolution No. 30K Page 1 of 2 The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto, a grant with the Capital Area Planning Council on behalf of the City of Georgetown. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
