A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN. APPLICATION FOR
'i '`° IN THE NATIONAL RURAL UTILITIES COOPERATIVE CE
CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, Policy Statement Number 5 of Utilities/Energy in the City of Georgetown Century Plan
states that "the Cit will provide electric services which meet the immediate and future needs of all citizens and

which encourage and provide for economic development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, that:
i�.ECTION 1. The City Council adopts the recitals set forth above as true and correct and they are hereby
adopted and incorporated herein as if fully set forth verbatim.
SECTION H. The City Manager of the City of Georgetown is hereby authorized to prepare and submit an
application of membership in the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, and in connection
therewith the proper officers of the City are hereby authorized to do all such acts and make all such payments
as the officer or officers so acting may deem necessary or appropriate in order to carry out the purpose and
intent of this resolution.
