WHEREAS, the United States Government, the Criminal Justice Division of the
Governor's Office, and the Capital Area Planning Council has approved funds for the 1992 -
1993 fiscal year for continuation of existing grant programs;
WHEREAS, the Division of Police Services was the recipient of additional funds to
supplement existing funds for the purposes of combatting juvenile crime and delinquency under
a Juvenile Law Enforcement Officer grant;
WHEREAS, the second grant year period will end and a resolution is required for the
grant to continue for the third grant year;

WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter
of the Policy Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIEL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:

The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto the
Grantee Acceptance Notice with the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office on behalf
of the City of Georgetown.
