HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 920391RESOLUTION No. 15 MOLVA 0101 V LIUM WIIEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas ("City"), seeks to promote tourism, convention activity, cultural activity, historic preservation and historical activities within the City; and, WHEREAS, the Georgetown Industrial Foundation ("GIF"), seeks to develop opportunities for the creation of jobs in the Georgetown community, including the development of jobs to enhance the tourism industry in Georgetown; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to expend not more than $3000 toward the first phase of ;! feasibility study for a water park development in Georgetown and enter into a contract agreement with the GIF for the administering of these monies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: hereof, as if copied verbatim. 'Me City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Economic Development Policy 4, which states, "The City will develop and promote the tourism industry in Georgetown" - and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City Council authorizes the expenditure of not more than $3000 as a joint project with the Georgetown Industrial Foundation for the first phase of a water park development feasibility stud3L e ci, . kT.
