HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 920338qQ0 RESOLUTION No. [elm• 121".111 W—sx, I I I Oil mw� 01 WHEREAS, the City currently owns twenty-four T -hangar spaces at the Georgetown Municipal Airport that remain rented 100 % of the time; and, WHEREAS, a survey of aircraft owners who desire to rent a T -hangar space at the Georgetown Municipal Airport indicates a need for additional spaces; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the sale of Certificates of Obligation to finance this project, with the rental proceeds to be used to retire the debt; and, WHEREAS, the City has a standing contract agreement with Steger izzell Engineering, Inc.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0[0 GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: • The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are hereby incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements Facilities & Services Policy #1, which states, "The City will endeavor to increase the quality of life through the upgrading of existing facilities and services and the L -mrovision of new services to meet the specific needs of the community", and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. Resolution No. T -Hangar Design & WPAP Page 1 of 2 PROM The Mayor is authorized to execute and the City Secretary to attest thereto a letter of agreement with Steger & Bizzell Engineering, Inc., to design T -hangar pad sites and prepare a water pollution abatement plan.
