HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 931214-P - Airport Lease AgmtRESOLUTION No. ISVM4 111IRS mg, H. CANNAN, DBA CANNAN AVIATION, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown did enter into a Lease Agreement for certain Airport property with John H. Cannan on April 25, 1989; and, WHEREAS, John H. Cannan and Hartland Bank, N.A., desire to amend the legal description of the leased premises; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLTED B GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this resolution implements Facilities & Services Policy #1 of the Century Plan -Policy Plan Element, which states in Goal E, "As a key factor in the economic growth of the community, the City should assure safe and adequate basic aviation services to the community by developing the airport to its fullest potential"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto Addendum No. I to the Lease Agreement between the City and John H. Cannan, on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
