WIffiREAS, Resolution No. 920497 was adopted by the City Council on October
1992, to provide property for the location of the Creative Playscape;
WIMREAS, the map and description of the actual site within San Gabriel Park includ
within the resolution do not coincide with the current location for the playscape; and
W11EREAS, the City Council desires to clarify the prior resolution before constructi
of the playscape begins. -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: I
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution a -
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a I
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that th.
resolution implements Recreation and Cultural Affairs Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy P'.II
Element, which states: "The City shall encourage all citizens to actively participate
community -wide social, cultural, and recreational activities", and further finds that the adopti
of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies,
required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the location of the Creative Playsca•
within San Gabriel Park, on the property located north of the auction barn site, south of t I
soccer fields, west of Austin Avenue, and immediately east of the 5.08 acre tract leased by t
Williamson County Sheriff's Possee, and identified on Exhibit A.
SECTION 3 This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
