A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, APPOINTING CITY REPRESENTATIVES TO
THE ASSOCIATION OF WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown purchases wholesale power from the Lower
Colorado River Authority (LCRA), and is thereby made a member of the Association of
Wholesale Customers (AWC); and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to appoint representatives to the AWC-,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution us
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that th
resolution implements Utilities/Energy Policy E of the Century Plan - Policy Plann Ele e
which states: "Water, wastewater, electricity, and solid waste collection services meet
immediate and future needs of all citizens and encourage and provide for econo
development"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or
conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Adminis
Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION . Bob Hart is hereby appointed as Designated Representative to the
Association of Wholesale Customers, and Jim Briggs is appointed as Alternate Representative.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
RESOLVED this 8th day of June, 1993.
