Municipal Airport; and, i
WHEREAS, certain engineering design tasks related to water pollution abatement planning and
stormwater pollution prevention planning must be performed to comply with federal, state, and local
regulations prior to construction; and,
WHEREAS, Espey, Huston & Associates, Inc., have agreed to perform these services and are
experienced and fully qualified to do so; and,
WHEREAS, these projects are in compliance with the long range airport layout plan (ALP)
approved by the FAA and the Airport Advisory Board; and, i
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to contract with Espey, Huston & Associates, Inc., to perfor
engineering services; i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found
and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part
hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this resolution implements Economic
Development Policy #1 of the Century Plan -Policy Plan Element, which states, "The City will encourage
diversified growth and promote business opportunities to create jobs, broaden the tax base, and minimize
the impact of economic fluctuations"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent
*r in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative
Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto, a
contract with Espey, Huston & Associates, Inc., on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
