WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown affirmatively supports federal objectives related
Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. i
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIEL OF TH
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: i
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution a
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein a
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that th
i
resolution implements Housing Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which state
"The City will work with builders, developers, and property owners to provide safe and adequa
housing opportunities for all household types.;" and further finds that the adoption of th
resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required b
Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and the City Secretary to atte
thereto this resolution declaring the month of April, 1993, as Fair HousingMonth in the City
Georgetown, and urging all local officials and public and private organizations to support til
achievement of fair housing.
