WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Georgetown to investigate complaints alleging
discrimination in the sale or rental of housing,* and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown desires to investigate and resolve such complaints
in a fair and timely fashion-, and
I WHEREAS, this requires the establishment of a Fair Housing Complaint Procedure and
the designation of a Fair Housing Administrator to administer such procedure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:

Housing Administrator, and directs the Fair Housing Administrator to receive and investigate
complaints alleging discrimination in housing.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
