for the construction of a new Airport road, water line, and power line; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation has offered the City a Grant for this
project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds that this Grant is in the best interests of
fevelopment of the Georgetown Municipal Airport-,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBJ
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
resolution implements Facilities and Services Policy I of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element,
which states: ."The City will endeavor to increase the quality of life through the upgrading of
existing facilities and services and the provision of new services to met the specific needs of the
comrnunit,,%:�, and further finds that the ado�saion of this resolution is not inconsistent or in con ict
with any �ther Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter
of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest
thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown, a grant agreement with the Texas Department of
Transportation, Aviation Division, for an Airport construction project.
