HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 940426-FW-Mv I-Dwej-v rMKI1111219i I me] = 9 low I M14N US E 01 ffi-1 - - I - � i AN I 11� Ad 4 1 WAZZLIA, N 1,1NI"I WHEREAS, in previous Resolution No. 940208-P approved on February 22, 1994, the Georgetown City Council appointed election judges for the General Election to be held oil Saturday, May 7, 1994; and WHEREAS, the Presiding Judge and the Alternate Judge that were appointed to serve at Voting Precinct "A" at the Georgetown Public Library, have notified the City Secretary that they will not be able to serve in that capacity; and WHEREAS, the Alternate Judge that was appointed to serve at Voting Precinct "B" at the GISD Administration Building has notified the City Secretary that he will not be able to serve in that capacity, and WHEREAS, Sec. 32.005 of the Texas Election Code requires that the election judges bt-. appointed by the governing body of the political subdivision, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS THAT - M KU I M04 M The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a iturt hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council has found that this action implements Governmental Affairs Policy 2 of t Century Plan - Policy Plan Element ' which states: "All citizens actively participate -goow d - that th*s action is not inconsistent or in conflict with un1 other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of t Policy Plan; Precinct "A" Election Judges Resolution No. q-10elQ6 E Page 1 of 2 Pages Mr. J. L. Akridge of 1611 Mimosa in Georgetown shall be appointed as the Presiding Judge and Ms. Nelda Burson of 1224 Church Street in Georgetown shall be appointed as the Alternate Judge of Voting Precinct "A" at the Georgetown Public Library for the General Election to be held on Saturday, May 7, 1994. ff"1161,0112 Mr. Fritz Daehne of 2505 Gabriel View Drive in Georgetown shall be appointed as the Alternate Judge of Voting Precinct "B" at the GISD Administration Building for the General Election to be held on Saturday, May 7, 1994. Ms. Kathleen Leedy of 137 Canyon Road in Georgetown will be the Presiding Judge of Voting Precinct "B" as originally appointed in Resolution No. 940208- P.
