HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 110314-B - Briggs Interim City ManagerA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS RELATING TO APPOINTMENT OF AN INTERIM CITY MANAGER. WHEREAS, pursuant Section 5.01 of the City Charter of the City of Georgetown, the City Council appoints the City Manager who acts as the chief administrative and executive officer of the City; and WHEREAS, the City Manager serves at the will and pleasure of the City Council and reports directly to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to appoint an Interim City Manager.- and SECTION ONE. While acting as h-tterim City Manager, Jftn Briggs shall receive a ten percent (10 %) increase m' his base salary as additional compensation. When a new City Manager is appointed, Jim Briggs shall return to his position as General Manager of Utilities and receive the corresponding base salary. to attest. SECTION FIVE.
