Dietz, Chair of the Airport Board; Tom Yantis, Assistant City Manager; and Gary Nelon, Mayor
This item was rescheduled to a later date.
B Presentation by the Georgetown Project Youth Action Council -- Paul Brandenburg, City Manager
Barbara Pearce introduced John Nehme, Tim Joslin, Callie Westmoreland, and Steven Soto, who,
on behalf of the Georgetown Project Youth Action Council, used a slide presentation to provide
statistics and other information to express the need for a place for Georgetown youth to gather for
entertainment; and asked that the Council appoint a Task Force composed of youth and adults
recommended by the Youth Action Council.
There was discussion and questions from the Council. The youth distributed a list of proposed
members of a Task Force. Snell asked and it was noted that the Youth Advisory Board works with
the Youth Action Council and some are members of both organizations. Sansing suggested that
some of the local churches should also participate in this program.
C Presentation and discussion regarding the Wolf Ranch Development Agreement -- Trish Carls, City
Attorney
Carls said the draft of the development agreement had arrived from Simon Group last Friday
afternoon, and staff has not had enough time to do a public discussion of that document at this
time. Brandenburg asked Council if they could meet in Special Session on July 16. Charlie
Crossfield and Myles Minton, representing Simon, agreed that they want the City to be comfortable
with the document, and will meet with staff on Tuesday to go over the agreement.
