HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 02.02.1999 CC-SThe City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, met in Special Session on the above date with Mayor Leo Wood presiding. Council Present: Lee Bain Charlie Barton Charles "Hoss" Burs Susan Hoyt Ferd Tonn Shorty Valdez Staff Present: Bob Hart, City Manager Marianne Banks, City Attorney Sandra Lee, City Secretary Susan Morgan, Dir. of Finance & Admin. Don Higgonbotham, Municipal Judge Regular Session A Call to Order at 5:30 p.m. Council Absent: Shelley Pierre Davis The Meeting was called to order at 5:40 p.m. B Mayor, Council, City Manager and Staff comments and reports Wood commented on he and Hart, Davis and Hoyt having attended the TML Legislative Briefing in Austin on Monday of this week. Hart told Council that the "Expo Center" bill has been presented to Rep. Krusee and Senator Ogden. He noted that they will need to approve a resolution to support it, saying it has been shared with the cities of Round Rock, Taylor, and Cedar Park. Wood noted that he has visited with the County Commissioners about the issue. C Citizens wishing to address the Council There were no citizens who wished to address the Council. City Council Meeting Minutes/February 2, 1999 Page 1 of 2 Pages Executive •' In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes, Annotated, the item listed below will be discussed in closed session, and is subject to action in the regular session that follows: Review and evaluation of Council -appointed personnel: • Municipal Court Judge • City Secretary • City Attorney • City Manager 10:05 Recessed Executive Session and Resumed Open Session Regular Session E Action on Executive Session Motion by Hoyt, second by Barton to approve a raise for the Municipal Judge to $30,000 annually, and to raise the salaries of the City Secretary, City Attorney and City Manager by 4%.
