how he had a nice discussion with the Fire Chief about the program. He said he cannot understand why the

Gonzalez asked if it is standard practice to give discounts. Staff said that is something they will look into.
Gonzalez noted he wants to make sure the city stays competitive.
Pnlasekreviewed the fuel rate recommendations from staff and how they came up with the rates. Hesaid staff ka
working 0ofill the budget shortfall. Henoted, until the airport iamore financially stable, staff ierecommending the
continued cancellation of the airport fuel discounts.
Gonzalez said discount or no discount; we need to be competitive with the price. He said, whatever the number
becomes, let's make sure the City is competitive and not losing our fuel business.

particular business.

V Public Hearing and First Reading of an Ordinance on a Rezoning of 92.61 acres in the Barney C. Low Survey,
from the Agriculture (AG) District to 6.03 acres of the Local Commercial (C-1) District, 13.02 acres of the
Low Density Multifamily (MF -1) District, and 73.56 acres of the Residential Single-family (IRS) District,
located along the south side of Westinghouse Road, just east of Park Central Boulevard -- Valerie Kreger,
AICP, Principal Planner, and Andrew Spurgin, AICP, Planning Director (action required)
Kreger described the item. She said the applicant requested to rezone the acreage to create a mix of uses and
housing products. She said this project is part of the Westinghouse Road development group. She said the newly
created TIRZ in the area includes this property. She said the property was annexed into the City in December
2011 and was given the default zoning of agdculture, She noted the applicant has proposed a road but the design
and located has not yet been approved.
