Humanity of Williamson County, Lone Star Circle of Care, Samaritan Center for Counseling and
Pastoral Care, Senior Center at Stonehaven, and Williamson County Crisis Center dba Hope
Alliance, and for these agencies and organizations to continue to provide services for the citizens
of Georgetown, and authorizing the Mayor to execute same and the City Secretary to attest.
WHEREAS, the purpose of City funding to the nonprofit sector is to cultivate and sustain
partnerships with 501(c)3 organizations that strengthen the City's key priorities in the following
areas: Public Safety, Transportation, Housing, Parks & Recreation, Veteran Services, and Safety Net,
and
Public Safety.
While the City is Georgetown's Public Safety leader (Fire & Police), public safety also
encompasses a broad scope of work that makes this community safe for all.
Eligible organizations and programs may include those that contribute to safe
neighborhoods such out of school time, youth empowerment, and neighborhood
community centers.
Transportation.
• Eligible organizations include those that assist in meeting the transportation needs of
Georgetown residents unable to access private transportation such as homebound
seniors and youth under the age of 16 years.
Housing.
• Eligible organizations include those that offer emergency shelter, transitional or
temporary housing, and affordable housing.
Parks & Recreation.
• Eligible organizations include those that provide affordable, accessible activities that
enhance Georgetown residents' health and well-being, including sports, fitness, and
other recreational programs.

Veteran's Services
Safety Net.
The City recognizes its responsibility to support efforts to address this con-unimity's
most pressing basic needs. Examples of basic needs include food insecurity, emergency
financial assistance, mental/behavioral health care, substance abuse, domestic/family
violence, and health care. Safety Net priorities will be based on ongomig analysis of
unmet existing needs and emerging needs in this community, and may change over
time; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the provision of such services as defined above
the
quality of life and the overall economic development of the city -per Chapter 380 of the Local
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and the Assistance League of Georgetown Area desire to

Net Services to provide clothing for children in need, as identified by duly qualified G.I.S.D.
employees or agents, in G.I.S.D.; and
WHEREAS,, the City of Georgetown and Georgetown Backpack Buddies desire to enter into
2n agreement to assist the Georgetown Backpack Buddies in the provision of Safety Net Services for
funding for the purchase of food for children in need, as identified by duly qualified G.I.S.D.
employees or agents, in G.I.S.D.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Bluebonnet Trails Community MHMR dba

Services to assist Bluebonnet Trails provide supplies, equipment, staff training, and parent education
to parents of children who are eligible for Early Childhood Intervention Services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and the Boy Scouts of America, Capital Area Council, San
Gabriel District, Pack 2935 desire to enter into an agreement in the provision of Safety Net Services to
assist the Boy Scouts provide and enhance the "in school" cub scouting program in Georgetown
elementary schools with programming to *include an emphasis on Leadership Development, and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and The Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown desire to
enter into an agreement in the provision of Safety Net, Public Safety, Parks & Recreation, and
Transportation Services to assist the Club to provide after school youth programs during the school
year and full day youth programs during the summer that provide safe places for children and youth
in the community by providing recreationally and educationally based programs that drive toward
three priority outcomes of Acadeiruic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles;
and

WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Briarwood-Brookwood, Inc. dba Brookwood in
Georgetown (BIG) desire to enter into an agreement in the provision of Safety Net Services to assist
a high quality program that will provide daily lessons in social skills, job skills, as well as
opportunities to develop their talents and strengths in order to celebrate, empower, and engage these
Georgetown citizens and their families to lead ea y andactive lives that give bac to
community through volunteerism and entrepreneurial work activities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and CASA of Williamson County desire to enter into an
agreement in the provision of Safety Net Services to assist CASA of Williamson County provide

community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Faith in Action Georgetown desire to enter into an
agreement in the provision of Safety Net, Transportation, and Public Safety Services to assist Faith in
Action to provide a volunteer based transportation program and other support services to improve
the quality of life of senior citizens over the age of 65 and help them remain *independent; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and GENaustin desire to enter into an agreement to assist
GENaustin in the provision of Safety Net and Public Safety Services to implement the 180 Program
for up to 30 Georgetown adolescent girls who are entering the juvenile justice system or who are at
risk for entering the system and to support and guide these girls to make wise choices as they

alone by surrounding them with positive role models they can relate to who encourage, inspire and
guide; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and the Georgetown Caring Place dba The Caring Place
desire to enter into an agreement in the provision of Safety Net Services to assist The Caring Place to
serve as a central, coordinated safety net location to help families in crisis who live in Georgetown

WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and The Georgetown Project desire to enter into an
agreement in the provision of Safety Net, Public Safety, Parks & Recreation, Housing and
Transportation Services to assist The Georgetown Project provide youth development and youth
activity programs for children, youth, and families in Georgetown through the Kid City Program
(summer food and enrichment for economically disadvantaged students) and the NEST (provi es
assistance to homeless teens, including basic needs, supportive services, and overnight shelter); and

WHEREAS the City of Georgetown and the Getsemani Community Center desire to enter into
an agreement in the provision of Safety Net and Public Safety Services to assist Getsemani
Community Center to provide a place that preserves cultural resources and provides youth and adult
programming, especially for Georgetown's Hispanic Community, including, but not limited to
Literacy Council Programming for GED Classes, ESL Classes, Computer Classes, Summer
Programming, Cultural events, and the Getsernani Garden.- and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Goodwill industries of Central Texas desire to enter
into an agreement in the provision of Safety Net Services to expand and enhance current employment
service offerings for Georgetown residents through the agency's local Job Help Center, which will
offer basic needs support, including emergency housing and utility assistance, for clients who are

organizations to provide services toGeorgetown residents; and
WHEREAS/ the City of Georgetown and Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, Inc.
iesire to enter into an agreement in the provision of Housing Services to assist Habitat for Humanity
#1 Williamson County, Inc. provide affordable homeownership and exterior repair opportunities fo,
low-income families in Georgetown that include increasing outreach and awareness to low-income
rtunities in Gieoj�_Vetown, rehabilitatir�g
homes in partnership with low-income Georgetown farmilies that are accepted into the Habitat
program; pre -purchasing homeowner and financial education classes (such as Financial Peace
University) to partner families through in-house community collaborations; and providing home
repair services to qualified low-income Georgetown homeowners; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Lone Star Circle of Care desire to enter into an
2greement to assist Georgetown Community Clinic in the provision of Safety Net Services to provide
medical services for residents of Georgetown who are uninsured or underinsured and are unable to
access medical care through other means in order to help support the cost of uncompensated
healthcare provided to uninsured Georgetown residents seeking comprehensive medical (Family,
Pediatrics, Senior), behavioral health, and dental services at Lake Aire Medical Center and full -
spectrum women's health and obstetrical care at Georgetown Women's Center; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georv:etown and the Samaritan Center for Counseling and Pastoral
Care desire to enter into an agreement to assist the Samaritan Center in the provision of Safety Net
and Veteran Services to ensure access to affordable mental health counselig, integrative medicine
and psychiatry care for Georgetown residents, including uninsured and underinsured children,
adults, fan-dlies, and veterans who cannot afford the cost of mental health care; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and the Senior Center at Stonehaven desire to enter into
an agreement to assist the Stonehaven in the provision of Safety Net Services to meet the health,
educational, social, recreational and creative needs of the senior citizen population of Georgetown
area; and

WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and Williamson County Crisis Center dba Hope Alliance
desire to enter into an agreement to assist the Williamson County Crisis Center in the provision of
Safety Net Services to provide services to survivors of family violence, sexual assault, child abuse,
including emergency shelter., crisis intervention, legal advocacy, counseling, support groups,
supportive housing and community education crisis and support services to the victims of sexual
assault and family violence for the citizens of Georgetown.- and
1114OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXASI THAT -
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest
thereto, funding agreements with Assistance League of Georgetown Area, Georgetown Backpack
Buddies, Bluebonnet Trails Community MHMR Center dba Bluebonnet Trails Community Services,
the Boy Scouts of America, Capital Area Council, San Gabriel District, Pack 2935,

Williamson County, Texas, Faith In Action Georgetown, GENaustin, Georgetown Carmig Place dba

Williamson County Texas, Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, Lone Star Circle of Care,
Samaritan Center for Counselm'•: and Pastoral Care, Senior Center at Stonehaven, and Williamson
County Crisis Center dba Hope Alliance, and on behalf of the City of Georgetown in substantially the
same form as denoted in the attached exhibits.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
