Speaker, Carol Woods representing Texas Mission of Mercy, spoke about the event. She described what the event provides to the community, how many patients they serve and what they are asking from the City. She thanked the City for their continued support and consideration of the request. Jonrowe asked and Woods spoke about how they are only allowed to come into the area once every two years. Ell absent) Approved 6-0 (Hesser absent) Q Discussion and possible action to approve the recommendations of the Strategic Partnerships for Community Services Ad Hoc Committee for the allocation of grants for FY 2014-15 and additional recommendations for the Policies and Guidelines and Application -- Suzy Pukys, Committee Chair and Paul E. Brandenburg, City Manager Speaker, Lucy Anderson of Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities (WBCO) spoke about the request they submitted through the funding process. She described the services they provide through the building they are asking to renovate. She spoke about how the current conditions of the kitchen and why the renovations are so important. Motion by Brainard, second by Hammerlun to approve the funding as proposed by the committee. There was much discussion regarding the request from WBCO. Vote on the motion Approved 4-2 (Eason and Jonrowe and opposed) (Hesser absent) Pukys said the committee wanted to know the number of Georgetown residents being served by the organizations and how they are being served. She said they also have concerns with how to handle incomplete application. Gonzalez said the City should look at that issue again and establish a policy. Rinn spoke about the WBCO application and said they also requested the payment of utilities; which is a separate parr of funding that the other request. Motion by Gonzalez, second Fought to approve continued funding of utilities to WBCO. Vote on the motion: Approved 6-0 (Hesser absent) R Consideration and possible action to approve a Resolution making certain findings in connection with the addition of approximately 56.88 acres of land consisting of the Creekside Section of the Georgetown Planned Unit Development to the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District No 1, related to the advisability of the improvements, nature of the improvements, the boundaries of the proposed District, the method of assessment and the apportionment of cost between the District and the City as a whole -- Micki Rundell, Chief Financial Officer and Bridget Chapman, City Attorney Chapman said these next three items bring the next section in to the Georgetown Village PID. She described the Resolution for the City Council. Motion by Gonzalez, second by Hammerlun to approve the Resolution. Approved 6-0 (Hesser absent) S Public Hearing to consider levying the assessments for the cost of maintaining certain non-City improvements in the Creekside Section of the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District 1, fixing charges and liens against property in the Creekside Section of the District and against the owners thereof and providing for the collection of the assessment -- Micki Rundell, Chief Financial Officer and Bridget Chapman, City Attorney Chapman described the item for Council.
