WHEREAS, the Williamson County Commissioners Court has expressed intent to constructr.
new Expo and Livestock Showbarn Facility; and, I
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to work jointly with the City Council of Round Rock to
acquire approximately 60 acres of real estate on which to build this facility.

SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found
and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a
part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council finds that this resolution implements Economic
Development Policy #4 of the Century Plan -Policy Plan Element, which states, "The City will develop
and promote the tourism industry in Georgetown," and further finds that the adoption of this resolution
is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the
Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Council supports the intent of Williamson County Commissioners Court to
construct an Expo and Livestock Showbarn Facility.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate with the City of Round Rock representatives
to jointly acquire approximately 60 acres on which to build this facility.
SECTION 4. The resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
