ESTABLISHING LAND DEVELOPMENT, UTILITY CONNECT AND
CONSTRUCTION PERMIT 1 ESTABLISHING

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to revise the City's local development
fees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that revising the development fees is in the
best interest of the citizens and the businesses in the City of Georgetown;

SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
resolution implements Economic Development Policy 5 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan
Element, which states: "The City will take appropriate steps to have a self-sustaining economy"
and Finance Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states "The City will
conduct all municipal. operations in an efficient business -like manner"; and further finds that the
adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies,
as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The land development, utility connect, and construction permit fee
schedules included in Exhibit "A" are hereby adopted as the new fees for the City of
Georgetown.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.

New construction permit fees include individual trade permit fees. Individual Trade
Permits are required for utility service rebuilds & appliance replacements.
PLAN REVIEW FEE
Typically assessed only when SBCCI, outside consultant, or City staff specialists
conducts the review. This is generally applicable only to large construction projects
and then the fee is set by the reviewer and assessed directly to the client.
FLOODPLAIN REVIEW $50.00
Assessed only if an investigation is required to determine whether the proposed
construction is located within the floodplain.
