WHEREAS, contract between the City of Georgetown and the Texas Department
of Economic Development on behalf of Advance Metal Systems was approved by the City
Council on March 23, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the contract is ending and final resolution of all funds is dependent on
the approval of certain design modification amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution
are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference
herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby
finds that this resolution implements the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan
Element:
Economic Development Focus End 1.2, which states: "Georgetown recruits
small to mid -sized commercial /industrial firms from all areas of the production
process (i.e., research and development, assembly, production, distribution,
warehousing, and retailing).
SECTION 2. The City Council has reviewed and hereby approves a design
modification for Advance Metal Systems to:
A. Delete the detention pond construction from the Texas Capital Fund Contract
because the pond had to be moved and was put on company property and
paid for by the company.
B. Increase pipe from 100 I.f. to 810 l.f. for stormwater drainage because when
the pond was moved the stormwater needed to be drained into pipe that runs
the length of the street and ties into the stormwater system on Leander
Street.

C. Decrease the road length from 705 linear feet of road with a width of 31 feet
to a road length of 430 linear feet with a width of 39.5 feet.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to
attest thereto this resolution on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
