ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has property available for long term leases otthe
Georgetown Municipal Airport; and,
WHEREAS, the Airport Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend that the
Council authorize the long term land leases at the October 26, 1998 Board meeting; and,
WHEREAS, these leases are important to the Council's goal of keeping the Airport se|f-
eufficient�nd
. .
WHEREAS, these leases are consistent with the Airport Functional Plan Element
approved bv the Council.
NOWTHEREFORE,E3E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made e pert hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
resolution implements 12.0 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Bemant, which states:
"Georgetown's transportation system provides for the safe and efficient movement of traffic,
promotes the economic interests of the community, and adequately serves the needs of
individuals"; and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict
with any other Century Plan Po|ioieg, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of
the Policy Plan.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized ho execute leases with 8ohvvertnerFarms,
Inc., E;RT. Inc., Gayle Peery. Mark Wilson, and the City Secretary to attest thereto.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
