WILLIAMS SURVEYS, AND RE8UBO|V|S|ON OF F{)UNTA|NVVO{}O E8TATES, PHASE 2,4, TO BE KM{]VVN AS F(][]NTA|NVV(](]D PLAZA, describing the area by metes and bounds; and WHEREAS, this property is one-half mile or less in width, is COObguoUS to the City limits of the City of Georgetown, and is vacant and without residents or has fewer than three qualified voters residing on it; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas heard the petition and the arguments for and against the annexation; and WHEREAS, a proposed service plan was presented to and discussed by the Council and all interested persons; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the annexation igiO the best interests Of the City OfGeorgetown; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION . The City Council hereby finds that this resolution implements the following policies of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element: 1. Environmental and Resource Conservation End 3.0, which states: "The physical qualities that make Georgetown attractive are protected"; and 2. Growth and Physical Development End 7.2, which states: "Annexation procedures and standards benefit the community" and further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby grants the petition for voluntary annexation of R.M. 2338 RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM THE WEST CORNER OF TRACT "A-1 OF THE REPLAT OF TRACT 'W', BLOCK 43, SUN CITY GEORGETOWN NEIGHBORHOOD ONE TO THE WEST SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION OF JIM HOGG ROAD WITH R.M. 2338 AND 15.62 ACRES IN THE D. MONROE, J. SUTHERLAND AND A. WILLIAMS SURVEYS, AND RESUBDIVISION OF FOUNTAINWOOD ESTATES, PHASE 2-A, TO BE KNOWN AS FOUNTAINWOOD PLAZA, as described in Exhibit A. SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign on behalf of the City Council of the City of Georgetown. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
