Citizens comments – none. 2. Visitor – Andrea, a Williamson County Sun reporter, attended the meeting. 3. January 2008 minutes – Minutes were accepted unanimously after a typographical correction was agreed to. 4. Shelter Report for January – Ken Finn presented the shelter reports. Ken presented statistics comparing euthanasia rates of the Georgetown shelter to other Texas cities. Georgetown rates compare favorably and have been trending downward over the last several years. Dog return to owners is trending up. This may be attributable to the microchipping program. Ken plans to begin tracking microchipping intake and return statistics in the future. 5. Discussion and possible action on Bark Park – A written warning was given to an individual because of a dog on dog altercation. Current policy states that aggressive dogs are not allowed in the park and requires the removal of any dog that becomes aggressive in the park. Patty Eason requested that the board ask the city attorney to review the dog park policy on aggressive animals for clarity on possible city liability. Ken stated he would take this action. The board, through Jackie, will provide an invitation to the Bark Park POC to attend the March Animal Shelter Advisory Board meeting. 6. Discussion and possible action on Dog Tethering Ordinance – Christy and Ken met with Paul Brandenburg, City Manager, and discussed the issue. Paul reacted positively and recommended the board attend the March city council workshop with the goal of voting on the tethering ordinance in May. The board agreed with this strategy and plans to review workshop presentation at next month’s meeting. 7. Discussion and possible action on Dogs in Truck Beds – Topic postponed to next meeting. 8. Discussion and possible action on Proposed Revisions to SOPs – Topic postponed to next meeting. 9.
