ORDINANCES § 2'00.010 ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS AND
[}EPARTK8ENTS', PROVIDING /\ SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND SETTING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed 2013/14Annual Budget for the
City of Georgetovvn, and the Administrative Division and Department revisions contained
therein; and
WHEREAS. the City Charter Section 5.04 "Directors of Divisions" establishes
organizational hierarchy; and
WHEREAS, the Administrative Divisions and Departments are for budgetary purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of George1own. Texas dmerna it necessary to
amend 8 2.08.010 of the City of Georgetown Code of Ordinances entitled "Administration",
"Administrative Divisions and Oopadnnento"
NDVV THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this ordinance are hereby
found and declared to be true and cornect, and are incorporated by reference herein and
gwpneaah made o part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this
ordinance complies with the Vision Statement of the City of Georgetown 2030 Comprehensive
SECTION 2. The City ofGeorgetown Code ofOrdinances, Chapter 2.Administration, §
2.08.010. Administrative Divisions and Oaportnnentu, is hereby amended to read as follows:

There are hereby established the following administrative divisions and departments of
the City:

Description: Amending Administrative Divisions and Departments
SECTION 3. In the event any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, provision
sentence or part of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or circumstance
shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, by a court of competent
jurisdiction, it shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance which shall be
given full force and effect.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective October 1, 2013 with adoption of the
2013114 Annual Budget by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
PASSED AND APPROVED on First Reading on the 27th day of August, 2013.
PASSED AND APPROVED on Second Reading on the 10th day of September, 2013.
