AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSITING `a k tN1 0 0 OF BOBBY POPE 2.0 ACRE TRACT; SIERRA VISTA DETENTION BASIN 31'351 ACRE TRACT; MAHAN 1.8 ACRE TRACT WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMIT OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND NOT BEING PART OF ANY INCORPORATED AREA; PROVIDING FOR SERVICE PLANS AND SAVINGS CLAUSE WHEREAS, two public hearings by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of that certain tract of land located in Williamson County, Texas known as Bobby Pope 2.0 acre tract; Sierra Vista detention basin 3.351 acre tract; and Mahan 1.8 acre tract were held, the first being at City Hall on the 12th Day of November, 1985, and the second hearing being at City Hall on the 19th Day of November,1985. WHEREAS, notices of such public hearings were published according to law in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Georgetown, Texas, and in the herein described territory to be annexed on the 30th Day of October, 1985 for such hearings which date is not more than 20 days nor less than 10 days prior to those hearings; and WHEREAS,the total corporate area of the City of Georgetown, Texas, on the 1st day of January, 1985 was 4561 acres; and WHEREAS, all the herein described territory lies within the extra -territorial jurisdication of the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory lies adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas; and WHEREAS, the herein described territory contains 7.15 acres; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: Section 1. The following described land and territory lying adjacent and contiguous to the City of Georgetown, Texas is hereby , added and annexed to the City of Georgetown, Texas and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included in the boundary limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the present boundary limits of said City at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to -wit: BEING those certain tracts and parcels of land described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference for all purposes. Section 2, The above described territory and the area so annexed shall be a part of the City of Georgetown, Texas and the property so added hereby shall bear its pro -rata share of the taxes levied by the City of Georgetown, Texas and inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Georgetown,Texas furthermore, said tracts described in Exhibit A shall be served in the service plan described in Exhibit B attached hereto. SAVINGS CLAUSE If any section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or provision of this Ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any part or provision therof other than the part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional. The depart- ment will respond to calls for assistance within their responsibility and jurisdiction. Fire Service Fire service is now being provided to the area and will continue to be provided by the present personnel and equipment of the fire fighting force. Water Service Maintenance of water facilities will be provided upon annexation in accordance with rates, terms, and conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code. Sewer Service Maintenance of wastewater facilities will be provided upon annexation in accordance with rates, terms, and conditions contained in the Georgetown City Code.
