AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23-21 SAME -DEPOSITS, OF
TETE. CITY OF GEORGET0WN CODE _OF ORDINANCES PROVIDING AND
FIXING UTILITY DEPOSITS,, PROVIDING-- A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS THAT.
SECTION I. That section 23-2, Same -Deposits, of the City of
Georgetown Code of Ordinances be amended to hereby read as
follows:
Residential. There shall. be a one hundred dollar
($100.00) utility deposit required on each dwelling
unit.
Non -Residential. Unless otherwise specified by the City
Council all non-residential establishfilents st-,all be
required to post a utility deposit equal to at. Least
twice the average monthly bill, of that establishment. or
a similar establishment of its kind. The minimum
non-residential deposit: shall be one hundred dollars
($100.00).
SECTION II. If any part of this amendatory ordinance is found by
any court of competent jurisdiction to be void, or
unconstitutional the remaining portions sl;all not be effected but
shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION III. This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption
of its second and final reading by the City Council of the City
of Georgetown, Texas.
