APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING, SEPTEMBER 11 1985 AND ENDING AUGUST 31
1986, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 689-A-13 OF THE
REVISED STATUES OF TEXAS AND HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS
AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Georgetown has submitted
to the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said
City and the expense of conducting the affairs thereof and
providing complete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year,
beginning September 1, 1985, and ending August 31, 1986, and
which said proposed budget has been complied from detailed
information obtained from the several departments and offices of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Managers
proposed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all
supporting schedules have been filed with the City Secretary of
the City of Georgetown, and is of the opinion that the same
should be approved and adopted.
THEREFORE BE ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The proposed budget of the revenues of the City of
Georgetown and expenses of conducting the affairs thereof.,
providing a financial plan for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
September 1, 1985 and ending August 31, 1986, as submitted to the
City Council by the City Manager of said City, be, and the same
is in all things adopted and approved as the budget of the
current expenses as well as fixed charges against said City for
the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1985 and ending August 31,
1986.
SECTION 2. That the General Fund sum of $3,963,244 is hereby
appropriated for payment of operating expenses of the City
Government as hereinafter itemized:

SECTION 3. That the sum of $345,831 is hereby appropriated out of
the Interest and Sinking Fund for the purpose of paying the
interest and principal due to General Obligation Bonds.
SECTION 4. That the Sum of $9,605,126 is hereby appropriated out
of the Utility Fund for the payment of operating expenses of the
City Government as hereinafter itemized:

SECTION 5. That the sum of $1,753,796 is hereby appropriated out
of the Interest and Sinking Fund of the purpose of paying the
accrued interest and making the principal payments as the same
mature on the Utility System Revenue bonds and creating the
prescribed contingent and reserve funds.
SECTION 6. That the sum of $92,151 is hereby appropriated out of
the Airport Fund for the payment of operating expenses of the
Georgetown Municipal Airport,
Section 7. That the sum of $84,500 is hereby appropriated out of
the Revenue Sharing Fund for the payment of Revenue Sharing
Expenditures,
SECTION 8. All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 9. This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and
effect form and after its passage and approval by the City
council of the City of Georgetown.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by,the City Council at a meeting held
at the City Hall in the City of Georgetown this 15th day of
August 1985 on first reading.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council at a meeting held
at the City Hall in the City of Georgetown this 27th day of
August 1985 on second and final reading.
